INSURANCE PRODUCER/SALES AGENT

Job Description

Dimmitt Insurance Agency is seeking energetic, independent sales professionals for Licensed P&C Insurance Agent positions. Dimmitt Insurance, a part of the Dimmitt Auto Group, serving the west coast of Florida since 1924, well positions it’s agents to provide all lines of quality personal and commercial insurance.

The Insurance Producer connects with current & potential clients to gather information, review their needs, discuss & recommend coverage options, shop the market, and sell the most comprehensive policy at the best possible rate. The Insurance Producer is expected to bring a high level of professionalism and customer service with them every day as well as uphold agency standard operating procedures and guidelines. The producer will also be a valued resource for the client in the event of a claim and will help clients through the process.

  • Professional training and development are provided to ensure your success
  • $1,000 SIGN ON – Bonus paid out after the completion of 90 days of service
  • Assistance offered in acquiring or upgrading licensure

Responsibilities:  

  • Build rapport & trust with prospective clients by showing & providing value
  • Develop relationships with clients & referral sources to grow business
  • Utilize agency & industry resources to develop a coordinated protection plan by calculating and quoting rates for immediate coverage and long-term strategies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by conducting policy reviews, making coverage recommendations, and completing endorsements or writing a new policy when needed.
  • Work with support staff to ensure new policy documents are delivered and future follow-up is planned to evaluate needs or cross sell.
  • Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, inspection reports, etc.) as needed.
  • Develops potential clients by utilization of mailings, phone solicitation, presentations to industry related groups, company-sponsored gatherings, the public, and sphere of influence
  • Obtains underwriting approval by following carrier guidelines and submitting a completed application for coverage.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • 220 or 2044 – FL Property & Casualty License Required
  • Possesses a positive, professional, and approachable attitude.
  • Coachable, Confident, & Driven
  • Has a strong desire to learn
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Fundamental understanding of sales skills and techniques
  • Comfortable prospecting, including cold-calling, internet, and database research
  • Working knowledge of the insurance sales industry
  • Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Comfortable approaching/selling high-net-worth clientele.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, some post high school education or training preferred

INSURANCE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION REPRESENTATIVE

Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative, you will perform a full range of customer service activities such as, but not limited to, answering inbound calls, processing policy payments & endorsements, as well as obtaining necessary information so we can best serve our clients.    This is an entry level position with Licensing Assistance available.

-Professional training and development are provided to ensure your success.

-Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch break

-We will help get the right candidate licensed within the first 90 days.

-$1,000.00 SIGN ON BONUS PAID OUT AFTER THE COMPLETION OF 90 DAYS OF SERVICE

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to all inbound customer calls, faxes, and written correspondence
  • Build rapport and trust with each client and actively listen to their requests and inquires
  • Confirm accuracy and currency of data in our client management system
  • Re-shop current clients who inquire about renewals or rate increases
  • Proactively identifies and informs the writing agent and policy holder of any UW memos
  • Process payments & Endorsements
  • Manages and utilizes time effectively to ensure department meets requires service levels for improved customer satisfaction results
  • Tracks policy expirations for existing clients and works proactively to ensure appropriate actions are taken to facilitate renewals or re-write a policy
  • Assists in managing the agency’s book of business and ensuring that no liability associated with errors and omissions occur

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, customer service and professional communication skills are required.
  • Entry level industry experience
  • Excellent multi-tasking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy
  • Experience with EZLynx is ideal
  • Proficient with Microsoft office
  • Excellent work history
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive and teamwork-oriented attitude everyday
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required; College degree in RMI or related field preferred
  • Active FL 440 license is a minimum requirement (2044 or 220 are acceptable)
